How the Date Was Announced
The road to October 13 took a little over a year. Raw Fury announced its publishing partnership with Behold Studios at the Gamescom Awesome Indies showcase in August 2025. In March 2026, a new trailer at the Future Games Show set a "Fall 2026" window. On August 27, 2026, the exact date followed at the Microsoft Gamescom broadcast.
On October 1, 2026, creative director Saulo Camarotti wrote that the team is spending its final weeks on polish, quality-of-life changes and "LOTS of QA". He also said the game had passed 440,000 wishlists. For comparison, a November 2025 dev blog mentioned 150,000 wishlists before the demo existed, so interest roughly tripled during the demo period.
Which Platforms Is Deep Dish Dungeon On?
At launch, Deep Dish Dungeon is confirmed for Steam on Windows and macOS. Steam's platform data lists Windows and Mac and does not list a native Linux build. However, the game is Steam Deck Verified. The developers announced that badge on September 30, 2026, after adding full controller support during the demo period.
Is Deep Dish Dungeon coming to Xbox, PS5 or Nintendo Switch?
No console version has been announced in the official sources we checked: the Steam store page, Steam announcements and dev blogs. The release date was revealed during a Microsoft broadcast, which has led some players to search for an Xbox version. That broadcast slot is not, however, a platform announcement. A March 2026 dev blog said controller support "paves the way for Steam Deck compatibility and other platforms", which is a statement of intent, not a confirmed console release. We will update this page if Behold Studios or Raw Fury announce console versions.
Price and Editions
The Steam store page had no price listed on October 2, 2026, and no edition breakdown has been announced. Prices usually appear on Steam shortly before launch. We will not guess a number here. Check the official Steam page for the final price and any launch discount.
What Changes Between the Demo and the Full Game
The free demo has been available since February 2026. It was one of the top 50 most-played demos of the June 2026 Steam Next Fest. According to the developers, the full game adds several things the demo deliberately leaves out:
- Bosses and big puzzles. Dev Blog #6 explains that the demo holds back the game's few bosses and large puzzles to avoid spoiling them.
- The full cooking system. Dev Blog #9 calls the harvestable scorpion and bat carcasses in the demo "the cornerstone" of the fuller cooking feature in the final game.
- Everything beyond the demo area. The October 1 announcement promises that players will finally "explore everything we've been hiding beyond the demo".
One practical note: demo saves do not carry over to the full game. The developers said so when they added saving to the demo in June 2026.
How to Get Ready for Launch
- Wishlist or follow the game on Steam to get a launch notification.
- Play the free demo to learn crafting, cooking and the no-map exploration style. Our demo guide covers what is inside.
- Line up your co-op group early. The game supports solo play or up to two friends; see the multiplayer guide.
- Check the system requirements. The minimum spec is modest, but a 64-bit OS and 8 GB of RAM are required.
